About Me

Hi, my name is Clare, and I am an Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor working within my private practice, Subconscious Healing.

I am a Senior Accredited Registrant of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society and hold an Advanced Professional Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counselling.

My integrative training allows me to draw upon different therapeutic approaches and adapt the way I work to suit each individual. I offer a collaborative and flexible space where clients can explore their experiences at a pace that feels manageable for them.

Alongside my core counselling training, I hold qualifications in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, counselling children and adolescents, child psychology, play therapy, couples and family therapy, and animal-assisted therapy. I have also undertaken specialist training in trauma, autism, ADHD, attachment, relationships, self-harm and suicide awareness.

I am fully insured, hold a current Enhanced DBS certificate and am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office for data protection under registration number ZA187932.

My Experience

I have worked therapeutically with adults, children, young people, couples and families across a variety of settings, including private practice, education, charitable organisations and family support services.

My previous experience includes working within Leicester Rape Crisis, supporting people affected by rape, sexual abuse and domestic violence, and helping them explore the emotional and psychological impact of their experiences.

I have also supported parents and families through Face 2 Face and New Dawn Family Support Service, working alongside families living with disabilities. My wider experience includes equine-assisted therapy and therapeutic work within educational settings.

The difficulties I have experience of working with include:

  • Trauma and complex trauma
